In this goal line look, the Chiefs are using pre-snap motion with Patrick Mahomes to sell QB outside zone to the left before rolling back to the right for the bootleg pass. The fast motion of Mahomes, along with his sell of the run to the left, gets the defense to flow hard to the run which opens up passing lanes behind the LB’s for the deep over on the pass. The Carolina Panthers are playing man coverage and the CB to the boundary gets caught seeing run in the backfield which gives the WR a step on him to be able to get open on the over route.
