Counter

This is a downhill gap play that will create angle blocking. An aggressive run play that can be paired well with RPOs. It gives the illusion of misdirection and if read properly by the runner can split a defense.

Keys to this play:

  1. Leave 2 unblocked to the call side for pullers.
  2. 1st puller must angle into the line
  3. 2nd puller must hug the butts of the double team and read the block out of the 1st puller. 1st puller kicks out DE = Get inside for PSLB. If the 1st pull logs the DE = 2nd puller must get around the block to PSLB.
  4. RB must follow the second puller.
