Importance of Naming Diagrams

As your Just Play playbook grows, you will begin to have similar diagrams as you build and copy numerous plays. For example, if you create an offensive play called “Wheel” and diagram that play against 3 different defensive looks, you may take advantage of Just Play copy functions to do this work more quickly.

If you don’t take a quick second to name each diagram, you might end up with diagrams named as follows:

  • Wheel
  • Wheel – Copy
  • Wheel – Copy – Copy

It is important to name the diagrams in your system so they are easily searchable and print with accurate titles. The three diagrams above can easily be named as follows:

  • Wheel vs. 3-4
  • Wheel vs. 4-2-5
  • Wheel vs. 4-3
  1. From the Diagrams tab of your play or term, click on the diagram name or the Details button for the diagram you would like to edit.
  2. A pop-up will display allowing you to change the name of the diagram. Click Save.
